Take off the mask - Show me who you really are

This is my submission for 's July Contest, which is "Masquerade"~ The only requirement is that the characters "must be in a costume that must have a mask".

Here, I feature both Mytho, wearing a supposed crow mask, and Rue, holding but not wearing a birdlike mask of her own. I didn't want to make her wearing the mask because in this picture I hope to imply that the mask represents someone Rue is not, namely Kraehe, and that she wants to take off that mask to reveal her true self to Mytho, although Mytho is still wearing the crow's mask (which the masked Rue originally forced him to wear..............)...

I hope that's not confusing. It's definitely a run-on sentence, though. Haha. Basically I wanna get at the fact that though Rue is not wearing a mask, it is still part of her costume. *___* The rules don't say the character has to be wearing a mask, so I hope I don't get disqualified. :'D

In any case.... I hope you enjoy this picture! It was fun to do some fanart again for one of my favorite (if not my favorite!) animes!!
